Meet our Staff
Dr. Deepak Sharma
Dr. Sharma has been a small animal veterinarian since 1994, specializing in general practice with a particular focus on internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and geriatric care.
He moved to the USA in 1987 after completing his postgraduate studies at PAU Ludhiana. Dr. Sharma earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, in 1994.
Dr. Sharma resides in Everett with his wife, Pratibha, their son, Jash, and their very active 11-year-old Blue Heeler mix dog, Tommy.
Dr. Raja Velu
Dr. Raja Velu founded Finn Hill Animal Hospital in 2013 to provide quality care at an affordable cost to the Kirkland pet owning community. His approach to veterinary medicine is strongly influenced by his belief in integrating traditional and holistic medicine to better serve the patients.
Dr. Velu graduated from Tamilnadu Veterinary and Animal Science University in India in 2000,completed the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates certification program to receive his DVM in the US. He also trained in veterinary acupuncture at Colorado State University.
Dr. Velu has special interests in general practice, emergency care and advanced surgery, especially Orthopedics like Anterior cruciate repair (ACL) in dogs using multiple techniques, including complex techniques like TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy), Fracture repairs and all other soft tissue surgeries. Before relocating to the US, Dr. Velu practiced equine medicine and worked treating racing horses. He lives with his wife, 3 kids and a maltese named Bingo. He likes to travel and spend time with his family and friends at his free time.
Kalpana Vijayan
Kalpana has joined Everett Veterinary Hospital as the clinic’s office manager. After spending 17 years in the IT industry and working as a real estate agent, she’s added animal hospital manager to her list of accomplishments. She manages both Finn Hill Animal Hospital as well as Everett, bringing her enthusiasm for animal welfare and business acumen.
